Mommy Daughter Date

Taylor Swift Concert
Probably the funnest date EVER!!!!! Tater and I went to to see Taylor Swift on Saturday night at Mandalay Bay! If you know Tater you know that she idolizes Taylor Swift! She Love Love Loves her! We often call her Taytum Swift, because she is always singing her songs! We bought the tickets months ago and have been bribing her with them, this past week especially! We got all ready to go with our fancy flowers, big boots and lots a' bracelets and off to Vegas we went! She jabbered the whole way in about how Taylor was going to throw her guitar, and wave at her, and sing to her, and dance for her, and smile at her, and you get the drift- she was sooo excited! When we pulled into the parking lot there sat Taylor's tour bus, and Taytum started SCREAMING, and I mean screaming! I'm lucky I didn't hit a taxi cab it scared me so bad! After about a mile and a half walk to the events center we got our popcorn and drink and found our seats! Kellie Pickler opened and was amazing! That girls got some vocals! And I love her red high heels- even though she wasn't wearing them! We ran for a bathroom break, got some souvenirs and hurried back to our seats for Taylor! She came out in her blue and gold ( go pirates!) band uniform and Taytum was SCREAMING again! After one of her wardrobe changes Taylor appeared on the stair railing right next to us, but by the time we realized it sooo many people had swarmed her so we just stayed in our seats. I think all the commotion scared the snot out of Tater- I had lifted her up above the people to see and she either got so anxious or mad that she kicked me with her boots! I now have a perfect black bruise the shape of her boot heel! Just glad it wasn't the guy in front of us she hit! Tater sang EVERY song- even the ones she didn't know- she made up words and SANG SANG SANG! It was so fun to watch her having such a great time! Towards the end she got VERY sleepy and crawled on my lap for a little nap! She was literally snoring in my ear and the flames filled the stage! She popped her eyes open, sat up and sang every word of "Just another picture to burn"! I wish I would have taped it- it was priceless! We headed for the truck after that song- Taytum requested that we leave! She was so exhausted that I had to carry her all the way back to the truck!Snoring in my ear again! She slept the whole way home, and all the way back to Cedar.Ryan got her out of the truck at about 3am and she said, " Daddy , that picture burned!" We laughed so hard- she was still dreaming of Taylor! We had a super fun night and I am so glad we got to go together!

13 Candles.............

Happy Birthday Baby Sis! I can't believe you are already a teenager! I can still remember when I was in high school and sooo embarrassed that mom was big and fat and prego with you! Thanks for being such a sweet girl! You are an awesome aunt, sister and friend! We hope you have a wonderful birthday! Love You Forever Reagen!

Can't we just grow...

CHOCOLATE

This morning as Taytum and I where watering the garden she picked a handful of snap peas and a handful of strawberries. She ate the strawberries to quickly to get a picture but here are her peas! As she was picking them she said to me, "Mom, can't we just grow some chocolate instead?" If anybody knows where to get chocolate seeds let us know please!

Wigs For Kids

Taytum has a new hair do! Aunt Trish cut 9 inches off of Tater's hair and it is so so cute! Tater's friend Delaney got a hair cut a few weeks ago and ever since Tater has been bugging me to get hers done too! I figured what the heck, it's going to be a long hot summer and I wouldn't mind not combing out tangles every night soo we did it! It was long enough to be able to donate, so that's what we are going to do! I'm taking Tater to the post office this afternoon to mail it! She is pretty happy that some other child that has been sick and lost their hair will be able to use her's! We are pretty proud of her for doing such a selfless act of kindness! And we kinda like the new hair cut too! It's sooo easy- and tangle free!
