Sunday Best

Sunday was such a great day at church! Lots of wonderful stories about the Christ Child, Service and the true meaning of Christmas, as well as beautiful music. After sacrament the primary children acted out the nativity. Taytum was a star again this year and stood so reverently for the whole program.

We lucked out this year with the girls Christmas dresses. Yes, they are last years. They both still fit them so what the heck, why buy new ones when we can use them another year? Funny story... Tater was so excited to where her Christmas dress that she got up and put it on first thing. I tied her bow and helped her button her jacket. As we are sitting in church I realized that her dress was completely backwards! Bow and everything! She could have cared less, she thought she looked gorgeous, and she did! We quickly went to the restroom and flipped her dress around! Nobody noticed but her mommy!
Can you believe I actually got a picture of Fallon smiling in her dress? I am going to have to have this printed in a 8x10 just to have proof that she does smile once in a while!!!

Tired girl

The other afternoon my visiting teacher( who also happens to be Fallon's nursery leader) came over to visit. Fallon was busy coloring on a box that came in the mail with Christmas presents and I was busy chatting. After about 45 minutes I noticed that it seemed extremely quiet and that I hadn't seen my little red head for awhile. Guess where I found her? She thinks she is to big to take naps anymore, but every once in a while it seems to catch up to her!

Keeping Warm

We bought this wood stove during the summer and had great intentions of getting it in before winter. Obviously that didn't happen, it has been sitting on our back porch collecting dust. A couple weekends ago the Ludlow's came down and Justin helped Ryan get it installed. We LOVE it! It has already paid for itself with the savings we have from buying propane to heat this place. Thanks for the help Ludlow's!

Santa

Friday night Santa came to our ward party. Taytum sat on his lap and told him she wanted a Leap Pad and a Candy Jewelry Maker. Then she ran to me and said,"Mom, Santa needs to shave his beard, it's dirty!"
I knew Fallon would have nothing to do with this big red stranger, but apparently Ryan thought he could overcompensate for her shyness with his huge smile! I don't think Santa was interested in much except when dinner would be ready!

The girls stood at the craft table for the rest of the night and made cute little reindeer and about 10 cards full of glue and glitter! They had a blast!

Fallon was much happier playing with baby Hailey than visiting Santa! I would have to say she is much cuter than that old guy!!! And alot friendlier too!

Thanksgiving Weekend

This year we stayed in Logandale for Turkey Day! It was nice to go to mom's house and stuff our faces. Grandma and Grandpa Alexander came out also and thank goodness for those rolls of grandmas- all the boys were happy!!! The girls played and played, and we all fought over holding baby Addi! That evening we packed our bags and went to Cedar to get ready for our annual Wal-mart trip! We bought plenty of junk that we don't need, but it is always fun to go! Santa's list is filled for our girls! That night the grand kids all went to the movies to see Secretariat with Grandpa and Grandma Yardley and the adults went to see Unstoppable. On Saturday we did some more shopping then took the girls bowling in the evening. Fallon smashed her finger, but kept rolling balls anyways, Taytum won the game (or so she thinks). It was so nice all weekend until Sunday morning when we got up and the white stuff was falling! We went to Cal Ranch and bought some sleds, then took the kids out to play! Instead of buying snow boots we just tied plastic bags to there shoes- yes we are from the desert! They didn't care one bit! There were a gazillion wrecks on 15 coming home. We were just glad to get back to some sunshine and dry land.

Pink

On Friday evening Fallon decided she wanted to try flying! She jumped from the chair to the bean bag and had a crash landing!
We took her to get x-rays on Monday and a pretty pink cast on Tuesday!
She doesn't have any serious breaks, but possibly a hairline fracture above the growth plate. She is a tough little girl.

Poems and Pie

Today the kindergartners recited all their Thanksgiving poems for their families. Mrs. Williams must have purposely put Tater on the back row so she could do her cheers while reciting her poems. The best was when they said what they are thankful for-- her DS! Oh yeah I get mother of the year! We aren't thankful for family, friends, our home, we are thankful for our electronic toys! Way to make me proud Tater!Love my little Turkey! After all there poems we all got to eat pie, Taytum choose banana cream (Grandpa Russell's favorite) and Fallon had brownies!!

Overachiever

This morning I asked Tater to please fill up the toilet paper holder in my bathroom.
I went out to feed the horses and do chores outside, when I returned I found this in the bathroom!

She told me it got so tall that she had to stand on the potty to finish stacking it.
Lovely. I think we have enough in there till spring!
I am leaving it there for her dad to see when he gets home.

Dog Show

Grandma Shirley let the girls show "Slipper" at the dog show today. Fallon was in the Pre Pee Wee class and won 1st place. Taytum was in the Pee Wee class and also won 1st place! They had a great time and fed that dog about 400 dog bones!

No nap

Last night during the barrel race Fallon was so sleepy. Her daddy brought her home, she took off her boots, found her rope, and passed out on the living room floor! When Tater and I came home this is what we found!

Pomegranate Festival

Saturday Trisha, Justin, and the girls came out for the day. The guys took Justin's jeep and went to the Hump and Bump at Red Rock. Carly was home from school so she came with us and the girls to the Pomegranate Festival. Tater wanted her face painted so she and Josie got matching hearts and glitter, Fallon just wanted kettle corn- and she ate the whole bag herself! I took one picture the whole day.. and here it is!

That night the other Yardley's from Moapa came over we bbq'd steaks and made dutch oven taters. yummy! We love our family!!!!
Oh yeah and Addi gives the best kisses ever!!! I must have kissed her fat cheeks 5 thousand times that day!

Sugar Overload Season aka Halloween

School Party and Parade

Old School Carnival

Plus Trunk or Treating and a Halloween Party with the cousins makes for two sugar buzzed girls! They payed the price and were both sickies for a few days after, but they are both feeling better now, and what is left of the candy is hiding on top of the refrigerator out of reach! I should probably just throw it all in the trash- they would never know!

Good Daddy

When you gotta' go, you gotta' go!

Last weekend Fallon went out to help Ryan shoe the horses. She really needed to go potty and Ryan really didn't have time to bring her up to the house. So he took matters into his own hands!

Pumpkin Pickin'

A couple weeks ago we went to the Hardy's to pick pumpkins before they were all gone! Fallon hated to have the leaves touch her and whined almost the whole time we where there. Tater thought she should pick every pumpkin she saw and take them all home. She had a very hard time picking out the perfect pumpkin! Thanks Glen and Shirley!!!

Soccer is over.

Taytum had a blast, danced and cheered alot and loved the treats after all the games! Not so big on chasing the ball, or kicking it at all! Seriously she may have kicked it once in a total of eight games! Don't think soccer is her sport!Maybe next year!

Bye Bye Crib

This morning Fallon helped me take down her crib. To this day she still has not climbed out of the thing and I don't know if she is scared or just slightly stupid and really thinks it's cool to hang out in there. Anyways we got it all taken apart, and she was so excited to get her big girl bed put in her room. She has the smallest bedroom in the house and with her bed in there it's even smaller! No idea where we are going to stuff all the toys. Five minutes after I put the sheets on she was snoozing away! That sure was easy, let's hope she does that everyday. Such a good baby girl.
