July 4th

Our day started early on the fourth. Ryan left with the sun to go rope in Painguitch, while us girls decided to stay for the parade in Cedar with the Ludlow cousins. It did not disappoint, the girls got lots of candy and even an Otter Pop! We went to Brad's for lunch and had some yummy greasy fries and onion rings, and a strawberry milkshake. We went back to the house and played and took naps while waiting for Ryan to get back. The drive home was quiet, both girls slept the whole way! We had a BBQ at home and then lit fireworks across the street with the Frie's until the big show at the fairgrounds started! All the kids laid on the trampoline and watched the sky light up! It was a very fun night at home with friends and family!!!

Minersville Roping

Ryan went to Minersville to rope on Saturday with Tyler, Big Dale and Bubs. He ended up winning saddles with Tyler. Grandma Verlene was able to come watch so that made it pretty neat to have her there! Even neater,he was on my barrel horse!!!

Gunlock Rodeo

Wouldn't be the fourth with out the Gunlock Rodeo! Us girls only went one night this year because we were in the middle of swim lessons and quite frankly I don't have the energy for three all nights! Ryan won a check on Thursday with Bub's and we were bad luck on Saturday! The girls ate as many snow cones and nachos as possible, chased chickens and did the boot race!!! Fallon actually beat Tater back to the finish line but forgot to put her boots on! Lot's of fun and a great family tradition!

Swim lessons

Last Monday we packed up and went to Vegas for a week of swim lessons. Taytum ended up having a private lesson each day and Fallon was in a class with her "bestie" Josie!
Taytum worked on her strokes, breathing and diving. She is doing so well and can easily swim the whole length of the pool.
Fallon had a rough first day and pretty much just sat and took everything in- typical Fally! Her daddy had a good talk with her that evening and she promised to swim the next day. I sent her with Trish, hoping maybe that would work, and it did! She jumped right in and caught right on! By the end of the week she was swimming the width of the pool by herself and jumping in front of the line to be first for everything!!!
So proud of both off the girls! Well worth the extra money to know that they aren't scared in the water and feel so confident about themselves!!!!
