HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!

Painguitch

A Couple weeks ago we went to Painguitch for the weekend to escape the heat and go to a Surprise Birthday party for Ryan's Uncle Les. Justin and Trisha brought the semi with the trailer, Russell brought the horses ( how convenient that there was a roping up there too), and we brought the PARTY!!! Really we just brought the beef, but the party sounded better!
The first day the guys roped and us girls hung out at the trailer, rode the rhino and played at the park! We cooked steak and dutch oven taters for dinner.
Saturday morning we made breakfast burritos then the guys roped some more! Justin and Russell won the open warm up roping so they quit while they were ahead. Later that day we went to Henrie's for ice cream the for a drive around town. The girlies were tired so we went back to the trailer for naps and fixed a late lunch of Indian tacos. That evening we drove up to the lake for the birthday party. We had chicken and beef and some grody potatoes, but they made up for it with Popsicles, and cake and ice cream! The girls had a absolute blast running around everywhere, dancing and playing! It was a way fun night! On our way back to camp we saw some does and baby fawns on the side of the road, Josie wanted to take them home with her.
Sunday morning we went to the Cafe for breakfast, loaded the semi and hit the road back to the heat!

Keeping Cool...

Although we don't have a REAL swimming pool at our house the girls think we do! This summer we have been using the horse water buckets to there full potential!

Last week at the barrel race Fallon wanted to go swimming, so Grandma Shirley took care of that for her! She enjoyed her personal pool while mom was riding her horse.

This weekend our Barlow cousins came over to play. The girls were tired of playing dress up and dolls, so they went out to jump on the trampoline, that lasted two seconds and they came in asking if they could go swimming. I thought they wanted me to take them home to swim at there grandma's house. NOPE! I was wrong, they each wanted there own bucket to swim in! They were out there for about two hours playing in the water! Can you say rednecks?

4th of July...Gunlock Rodeo...Veyo Pool

We kept with tradition and went to Gunlock again over the fourth! Thanks Carl and Lisa for letting us bombard your house once again! We went up Thursday afternoon and stopped in Mesquite for treats, then over the hill to the rodeo! Ryan mugged, and roped and I ran barrels all three nights! Tater decided not to ride her horse this year, but she was all about catching a chicken and the boot race! She was unsuccessful in both, but ready for the next night! Fallon was all over the snow cones and nachos! She had three just on the first night! After the roping we made it home to Veyo at about 1:30 am and crashed. The next morning we headed to the pool for some relaxation! Ate fries, onion rings and ice cream- so healthy, and swam all day! Back to the rodeo! No chicken again! This night I think Taytum was actually the
s l o w e s t one in the boot race! She was just coming back when the second group of kids went out! But she was smiling!!!I hit my first barrel on Max and that was frustrating! I should have known not to ruin a good thing by running in that narrow sucker of an arena but oh well, it was fun! Another late night after the roping. Saturday morning Ryan loaded up with the boys and went to Minersville to rope. We stayed and planned on going to the pool again, but it got so busy and crowded we decided to hang out at the house! We went and visited Shelbs, went to the Merk for a pop, drove up to Pine Valley and came home and took good naps! Last night of the rodeo, Ryan was late getting back so he didn't mug, But we had success in the Chicken Chasin'!!! Tater got her a nice red hen! ( maybe Bronc helped her a little, maybe mom slipped Bronc some $ to help her a little, shhhh!)We threw it in the trailer to surprise daddy later! Ryan won a bunch in Minersville and a little in Gunlock so that made it a good day! We left late that night and went back to the nice warm desert heat! We had a special occasion to get to in Vegas the next day! Our new little niece Addison was getting blessed! It was a long and busy weekend, but that's how we like them!

Haircuts

Yesterday we picked up Aunt Krystal and went to Vegas! We stopped at the yard to see Grandma Karm for a minute while she was working, then off to the pool! We met up with Trisha and the doubles for some swimming! Josie took charge and told us each which pool toy we could play with and then instructed us on how to jump off the diving board! Not really, but she is the boss! We swam until we couldn't stand the heat anymore, then hit up In N' Out! That afternoon we all got haircuts, trims and colors! No I didn't color Fallon's hair, but this was her first cut! Bye Bye stringy mullet! She was not happy to be siting in the chair! I pretty much had to hold her down while Trisha cut away! She wouldn't even let her style it, but today I plopped her up on my counter and curled it! I must say it is much better looking! After our day at the stylist we stopped by Target for Tater to spend the money she has been saving on a toy. We ended up on the Barbie isle for TWENTY minutes! I am not kidding people, there is some serious drama going on in this girls head! She picked up every single Barbie in the store, surveyed what clothes she was wearing, what shoes she came with, how her hair was styled, if her feet moved, if she had accessories, you name it she checked it! EVERY BARBIE there! Final decision, a Ballet Barbie on point! And, she was on clearance for 5 bucks!

Toy Story 3

On Monday Tanya and I took the kids to Mesquite to watch Toy Story 3. They all loved it and ate more popcorn than I have ever seen kids eat! We have been playing alot this summer with the Barlow's and it is so nice to have friends/ cousins close that we can hang out with! It's especially fun for me to watch the kids playing because it seems like yesterday it was Tanya and I and Trisha and Britt getting into trouble and now it's our kids!
