Goodbye Snoring...Hello Bad Breath

Last Wednesday Taytum had to have her tonsils and adenoids removed. She has been snoring soo bad lately that we finally took her in and had them done. We went to Dr. Jones in Mesquite and he was great! We arrived at Mesa View Hospital at 7 am , got registered and then we waited. Tater was the third patient in line to have a procedure done that day so I think we were all getting a little anxious, but the nurses were great and kept us entertained. She finally went back to the operating room at about 9am and no kidding she was out of there 20 minutes later! The doctor and the anesthesiologist both said she was the best patient all day! 80% of her airway was being blocked by her tonsils and 70% by her adenoids. She woke up pretty groggy and got sick a few times , which almost made Ryan sick and he took off running down the hall! She was taken upstairs for awhile till she could drink and potty and that is just what she did! She really wanted a taco, but had to settle for a Popsicle, apple juice and some sprite. When the nurse brought her the plate of all clear fluids she said to me,"Mom, where is my food?" She did great and we were headed home by one o'clock. Everything has been going good so far except for her breath is the most rank think I have ever experienced! The doc said she would have bad breath, but this is seriously disgusting! Her little voice has changed and it is pretty funny to hear her talk but we are so glad she is breathing better.
